Monster High Movie

Monster High movieMonster High is a new line of fashion dolls from Mattel. The franchise was launched in in July 2010. The characters are inspired by monster movies and horror fiction, distinguishing them from most fashion dolls. The characters are depicted as being either related to or as offspring of famous monsters such as Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, the Mummy, Medusa, the The Creature from the Black Lagoon, zombies and the werewolf. Well, universal is now planning a live-action musical movie based on Mattel's property. Scripwriters Alfred Gough and Miles Millar have been hired to pen a script for the film and Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman are in negotiations to write and compose the music. The film will likely be released in 2012.

Here's an animated that's part of an animated series created by Mattel to promote the Monster High franchise:

Plot:
"Monster High together the hip teenage descendants of the world's most famous monsters to brave the trials and tribulations of high school."

There's definitely a great potential in Monster High, but if they're going to do it live-action they'd better find the right cast and not be stingy with the costumes and the CGI! A cheap adaptation wouldn't make it...

Anyway, more information about the movie Monster High as soon as details emerge.
